Butterbreze
Everyone in Munich buys a Breze, and yet there’s no price comparison anywhere. So far there is only one price. Anyone can help with the app, a photo of the menu or a quick entry is enough. Once there are enough prices, the range for all of Munich will be here.

Leberkässemmel
Not a single price yet. At the butcher’s the price is usually on a sign at the counter and almost never online. Next time you grab one, add the price.

How we count
So anyone can see where a number comes from
- Only prices someone has seen
- A price only goes on the map if someone saw it on the menu, at the counter or on the sign. Estimates, flyer deals and online shops don’t count.
- New ones only after approval
- A new price from the app only shows up once I’ve approved it. Every price has a source and a date.
- Where the first prices come from
- Most of the first prices come from current menus on the places’ own websites, each with a link. New prices come from people who were there.
- Median, not average
- “Median” means half the places charge less and half charge more, so a few very expensive places don’t skew the picture.
- Only from 5 prices
- There’s only a range or a median once there are at least 5 prices. The same goes for areas and breweries.
- City only
- The figures cover the city of Munich. Prices from the surrounding area are in the app, but they don’t count here.
- Deals separately
- Weißwürste with a pretzel included aren’t compared with the pair on its own. Prices that only apply at certain times are marked.
- Live from the app
- This page fetches the approved prices fresh from the app about every ten minutes. If that ever fails, you see the researched prices.
Every price as a table
Every researched price within the city, with place, address, area, date and source, in one CSV table. It opens in Excel, Numbers or any spreadsheet app. As of 8 October 2026.

Using the figures
Yes. If you write about prices in Munich, you may use the figures, including for charts and your own analysis. Please credit “Munich Prices” and, if possible, the date. Because places and addresses come from OpenStreetMap, the table itself is licensed under the ODbL 1.0: if you pass it on, changed or not, credit the sources and share it under the same licence.
